THe Weighted project

The Strengths of All Parts (SOAP) Project is an initiative to share and support the healing power of a neurobiologically-informed, parts approach developed by Janina Fisher PhD, LP, for nervous system regulation and healing. The Project is working to extend her healing wisdom that ALL parts were essential for "getting through" tough times when survival instincts were crucial and that they ALL bring strength to an individual's internal system. Each part's strengths become more fully realized and expressed when able to work with the support and perspective of Wise Self. Supporting the system of parts with a weighted blanket or bear can help to settle and soothe some of the part's extra energy, agitation, or numbness, supporting the possibility for Wise Self to more fully emerge.

The Weighted Project is an aspect of SOAP's healing initiative meant to share an additional resource for nervous system regulation with those who might not be able to afford it otherwise. 

Here is how it works: a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each SOAP Chart will be set aside for a fund for weighted blankets or bears for those for whom the cost is prohibitive. Weighted blankets and bears can be an incredibly important resource for many.
