We invite you to use these materials to support healing work. However, we ask you to encourage colleagues to purchase their own electronic version of the SOAP Chart so that they will have their own copies of these resources to share with their clients. We further ask that you please not distribute the pdf of the Chart without explicit permission. 

With your electronic version of the chart, you will receive the following: 

• Page 1 is a Survival Defenses’ Handout meant to be distributed to clients to support the understanding of the adaptive nature of these defenses. The handout includes additional details not seen on the chart to foster client’s exploration and understanding of the model.

• Page 2 is a Strengths of All Parts’ Handout and is meant to be distributed to clients to encourage marveling at the unique strengths of the parts when they are less under perceived threat.

• Pages 3 and 4 are 8.5 x 11 replications of the original Chart.  These pages can be used to construct a “lift-the-flaps” chart on letter-sized paper. Page 3 is the front page and page 4 is the back.
